The Mental Health and Recovery Board is excited to announce that we will be hosting an art event, The Art of Recovery, to showcase individuals in our community who are in recovery from mental health challenges and substance abuse. We are reaching out to you because we are seeking talented artists who have a body of work they are interested in sharing.
The goal of this event is to promote mental health awareness and recovery, and we believe that art can be a powerful tool to achieve this. We would like to invite you to submit your artwork for consideration to be featured at this event.
If you are selected, your artwork will be showcased at the event and throughout the community in August, September, and October.
We encourage you to submit your best work, whether it be paintings, sculptures, or any other medium that speaks to your creative expression. Based on your portfolio we will choose a special piece of art for the event in your desired medium. We welcome pieces that reflect personal experiences, struggles, and triumphs.
